Nuova Fattoria is an Italian family company from Ghedi near Brescia in Lombardy, founded in 1991 by the Almici family. In its own plant it makes crunchy kibble for dogs and cats from maize, pork and lard, and it puts the kibble’s digestibility at 90%.
Each kibble is based on extruded maize. Meat meals from pork muscle and pork fat are applied to it at room temperature. That is why the kibble is crunchy and smells of meat. In the dog kibble, 51% of the protein comes from animal ingredients; in the cat kibble, 74%.
