About us
“We feed our own dogs and cats only what we sell. Because they are family to us. Just as yours is to you.”
Nuova Fattoria food is imported into the Czech Republic by STAZ, a Czech family company since 1993. We are its exclusive importer. It is made by the family company Nuova Fattoria S.r.l. in Ghedi near Brescia in Lombardy, which the Almici family founded in 1991.
More than 30 years ago, Gerhard Stein, an engineer from Opava, a family man and a dog owner, turned a bag of dog food over in his hands. He read the composition and realised he was giving his closest friend something he didn’t believe in himself.
So he went looking elsewhere. To Italy, to Germany, to Canada, to Iceland. To family producers who make food the way he would want to feed it himself. In 1993 he founded the company STAZ in Opava.
Today the company is run by the second generation of his family. Alongside Nuova Fattoria, we import FirstMate food from Canada, we own the brands Topstein and Farm Fresh, and we supply our food to several countries in Europe. A million kilograms of food pass through our warehouse in Opava every year.
You can buy Nuova Fattoria in our company’s e-shop KrmivoProPsy.cz, straight from our warehouse. More on the Where to buy page.
