Stone Crick or Supreme Adult: what's the difference?
Advice · · Nuova Fattoria
You’re choosing Nuova Fattoria kibble for an adult dog and you come across two names: Stone Crick and Supreme Adult. Which is better? Neither. They have the same composition and the same analytical constituents; they differ in name and pack size. So you can choose by how much your dog gets through.
What they have in common
Stone Crick and Supreme Adult start the same way: extruded maize, greaves meal, pork meal and animal fat (lard). The rest of the composition, the additives and the analytical constituents match too: 28% protein, 22% fat and 4 650 kcal/kg. Both foods are for adult dogs of all breeds with normal and increased activity, and the same feeding table applies to both.
Which other kibble this applies to
Six more pairs are in the same position. In each row the composition and the analytical constituents are the same; only the pack differs:
| Who it’s for | Stone and Mister | Supreme | Protein and fat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Puppies, pregnant and nursing female dogs | Mister Puppy: 3 and 14 kg | Supreme Puppy: 2.5, 4 and 15 kg | 32% and 22% |
| Adult dogs with normal and increased activity | Stone Crick: 4 and 12 kg | Supreme Adult: 2.5 and 15 kg | 28% and 22% |
| Adult dogs with high activity | Stone Crick Plus: 14 kg | Supreme Plus: 15 kg | 32% and 25% |
| Seniors, low-activity and neutered dogs | Mister Old Light: 5 and 14 kg | Supreme Light: 2.5, 4 and 15 kg | 22% and 16% |
| Kittens, pregnant and nursing cats | Stone Cat Kitten: 4 and 15 kg | Supreme Cat Kitten: 800 g, 2.5 and 15 kg | 32% and 25% |
| Adult cats | Stone Cat: 5 and 15 kg | Supreme Cat Adult: 800 g, 2.5 and 15 kg | 30% and 23% |
| Neutered and older cats | Stone Cat Sterilized: 4 and 15 kg | Supreme Cat Sterilized: 800 g, 2.5 and 15 kg | 27% and 14% |
Supreme Cat Fish, the kibble with tuna fish meal, has no pair. The treat Stone Crick Boom and the pâté Stone Cat Pate Con Pesce carry the line’s name, but they are different foods.
How long a bag lasts
When the recipe is the same, the pack decides. A 20 kg dog has a recommended amount of 240 g a day with either food. Here is how long a bag lasts that dog:
| Pack | Food | Days |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5 kg | Supreme Adult | 10 |
| 4 kg | Stone Crick | 16 |
| 12 kg | Stone Crick | 50 |
| 15 kg | Supreme Adult | 62 |
A 5 kg dog needs 80 g a day, so even the smallest 2.5 kg pack lasts 31 days. A 40 kg dog has 440 g a day, and a 15 kg bag lasts 34 days.
How to choose
First pick the table row that fits your pet, by age and activity. Only then think about the name on the bag and take the size that suits you. If you move from one name to the other within a row, you change only the pack, not the recipe.
You’ll find each recipe’s composition and feeding table on its own page: dry food for dogs and dry food for cats. Where to buy it is on the Where to buy page.
